Current Lifestyle- Relatively simple and clean food. Have started exercising regularly.
Query- What all need to be corrected in this situation including nutrition and exercise.
First step: Analyse blood work: 9th March
1. Glycosylated Hemoglobin (HbA1c): 9
2. Fasting blood glucose: 196
After analysing full blood work and consultation it was obvious that age and genes are playing their role. Food is relatively simple. Smoking and alcohol was never an issue.
Suggested lifestyle changes:
1. Basic understanding about food which leads to sugar spike
2. Balancing fine ratio between protein- fat and carbohydrates
3. Healthy choices for breakfast, snacks and liquid calories
4. Healthy concoctions (fenugreek)
5. Exercise regime options as per his comfort zone
And lastly, emphasised more on measuring blood sugar and blood pressure regularly. This is important to adjust medicine dose especially after implementing lifestyle changes and to prevent hypoglycaemia.
