How busy life of Mumbaikars affects the body

My client, aged 34 years, had complaints of

-Excessive tiredness and fatigue
-Acidity and Migraine
-Disturbed gut
-Sleep issues
-Body pain, especially in one side of the body
-And more

It was seen in his blood work as well.

Blood work:
-Diabetes -HbA1c 5.7 (About to enter pre-diabetes range)
-Borderline higher Triglycerides 162 mg/dl, lower HDL 29.2 mg/dl (good cholesterol, the optimum level should be between 40-60)
-Higher SGPT level 51 U/L (normal range between 3-50)
-Low levels of Iron 48 ug/dl (normal range between 70-180)
-Low levels of Creatinine 0.75 mg/dl (normal range between 0.9-1.3)
-Low Haemoglobin 13.1 d/gl (normal range 13-17)
-Higher Eosinophils 6.8 % (normal range 1-6)

He was following a typical Mumbai lifestyle routine, including,

-Approximately 4 hours of the daily commute
-Eating a wholesome breakfast by 8-8:30 am
-Office hours- from 10 am to 7:30 pm
-He used to carry lunch tiffin (Dal, curry, roti, rice). However, lunch timing -depended on his work schedule.
-He used to get hungry post 6-6:30 pm and ordered light snacks in the evening (sandwiches, dabeli, vada pav)
-Reaching home post 9:30 pm, and dinner was after 10 pm. He mostly overate felt heavy and bloated post-dinner.
-Wrapping up the day after spending time with family around 12 am
-He often missed quality sleep due to excessive stress and tiredness.

After analyzing this, it was clear that his lifestyle was stressing his body, and he needed to make changes at the earliest to prevent falling into chronic ailments.

The primary issue was long working hours and the non-availability of home-cooked snacks in the evening. Due to this, he was forced to eat junk food.
He was reaching home late and eating heavy dinners, which his body could not digest well. He was unable to sleep on time, triggering a migraine day after.

I found this case just the perfect one for “Health Coaching”, in which the client more or less knew the issues which are stressing his body, but he didn’t know how to correct them.

We took steps which included

-Full body detox emphasized on liver.
-Dry snacks to keep at his workplace, including sing-chana, makhana, homemade protein bars, dry fruit laddoos etc
-Found a contact who can deliver fresh fruits to his workplace
-I taught him how to read labels. He started purchasing snacks with minimum additives.
-I taught him how to order healthy food from various cuisines. We started exploring the menu based on his likings. He learnt what all he can call when he needs to eat out.
-Lastly, found an option of delivering homecooked heavy wholesome snacks/dinner at his workplace at 6:30-7 pm. And he stopped eating heavy dinners at home.

His body started showing recovery. Episodes of acidity, migraine, and gut issues began to reduce. His sleep pattern improved. Chronic pain disappeared just in 2 weeks.

He is on his path to full recovery.

PS: Lifestyle changes work like magic.
